Concerts and more concerts

Hey people,
so if you didn't already know, MTV World Stage, Orianthi and Slash were kind enough to grace us with awesome concerts right here in KL
What's even better is that I had tickets for all 3 of these awesome events.

First up, MTV World Stage.

got a text from Nicole saying that she has tickets the day before. THANK YOU NICOLE! =D arrived late because I went to G2 first. missed out on Bunkface. decided to meet up with the sarawakians for a short while to celebrate Julie's birthday. missed Wondergirls. finally went to the actually concert and waited for an hour in the drizzle for Tokio Hotel. they were actually quite good. the singer's a little gay though, but who am I to judge? and knowing only 2 of their songs, it felt like an eternity waiting for them to finish their set. waited another hour for Katy Perry. she was good. and i'm not even a fan. best part? probably Peacock. and i'm sure everyone else will agree.

Summary - late + drizzle + waiting + not knowing most of the songs + tired legs = Kinda Awesome

Orianthi

Gazi had tickets because of his aunt. if you were in Sunway University on tuesday, you will find him trying desperately to sell them to just about everyone. I didn't go though. it was held in KL city itself, was too tired/lazy to drive up there on a weekday. and I had to save my energy for the next day.

The next day : Slash

bought the tickets myself. it costs me RM180. was kinda broke after that. King Yang and Kai Xiang went earlier to line up.decided to stay in college to hang out after classes. went late. to my horror, the gates were closed. I later found out that Amy Search was playing at that time. they blocked of the gates to prevent "too many" people from going inside to make sure Amy Search didn't outshine the main act. waited for 45 minutes just to get in. finally got in. couldn't get to Kai Xiang and King Yang since they were in the front. stood alone and waited 20 minutes for Slash. Slash performed, with Miles Kennedy of course. THEY WERE AWESOME! didn't matter if I was alone or not. if I had to pick the best performances during that concert it would be - nightrain, civil war, slither, starlight, SWEET CHILD O' MINE! (yes, they played THAT song, and it was awesome) and the encore - PARADISE CITY ( yes, they played THIS song too and it too was awesome).

summary - Slash + Miles Kennedy + rock 'n roll + headbanging + going nuts + awesome rock songs + SWEET CHILD O' MINE + PARADISE CITY = AWESOME!

let me just say this, the 2 hours I spent in SLASH was better than the 5 hours I spent in MTV WORLD STAGE.

so yeah, it was an awesome week.
but now, back to normal life.
AS mock exams are coming soon. I gotta start studying (I know what you're thinking, " pfffft samuel, study? not gonna happen")
